NBA 2K12 is 2K Sport's latest basketball simulation game. To be honest, there haven't been great changes this year. The game is played slightly different this year and there are new animations, better graphics, and an entirely different presentation, but if you played NBA 2K11, you will only notice a few differences when you are playing the game.
The presentation has been changed considerably. You can see a new menu system, both in- and off-game. You make substitutions and coaching changes in-game by using some of these menus. Although these menus are different than the ones used in 2k11, you can still get used to them and they are just as useful and smooth. It takes some time to get used to them, though.
There are some more game modes, but some game modes seen in 2k11 have not made it into the final game. Users complain that the online crew game mode isn't available, which is really a shame. That mode lets you play online team-up games with your created players. It was a blast to play like that.
There have been some changes in gameplay. For example, in the post game, you now switch post play on and off by pressing a key, whereas last year, you had to hold the key to keep posting another player. I think this is a great change, and one that gives you more freedom of what you want to accomplish when posting up the defender. As a defender, you are more likely to guess what your opponent might do and counter it. The rest of the gameplay felt similar to me. more
